Daniel Arsham, an artist from Miami who currently resides in New York City, unveiled his 'Crystal Toys' collection "at the Korean outpost of Galerie Perrotin."
The oversized teddy bears that comprise the Crystal Toys collection are immediately eye-catching due to their eerie aesthetic, as each one is made to look likes it's been decaying. The magnitude of this effect varies, with some of the bears featuring huge gaps on their faces, while others have large portions of stuffing removed from their bellies. In order to generate different looks, Arsham uses a variety of materials, including quartz, amethyst, selenite, and ash.
It's reported that Arsham came up with the looks by considering what "modern day objects would look like if they were discovered many many years from now."
