People won't find it surprising that the Cruiser Collection is inspired by the Californian culture. What they might find intriguing is that it is influenced by the Californian hot rod culture. Granted, such auto aficionados were big in the 50s and 60s, an era that these furniture designs could easily have been created in.
Instead, the Cruiser Collection was designed by urban outdoor furniture studio Ilan Dei Venice in the 21st century. Full of sweeping lines, pastel colors and lightweight dimensions, the Cruiser Collection is made up of five pieces: a teacart, hanging loveseat, freestanding loveseat, lounge chair and planter. Design Milk points out that "they are made of a combination of aluminum, steel, and fiberglass to withstand the blazing hot temperatures and rainy days of summer."
