Polish artist Olek decided to yarn bomb an entire train in her 'Crocheted Locomotive' project. Olek worked with four assistants to transform a rugged vehicle into a whimsical installation. Over two days, the ambitious artist used a copious amount of yarn to cover the train with strange and amusing patterns.
The yarn-based installation will be on display in Lodz, Poland from July 13 to August 19 for any interested visitors. Anybody can walk up to the public installation and enjoy the multicolored locomotive. Amorphous shapes engulf the train in a large variety of colors.
Though Olek is based in New York City, she decided to return to her homeland to complete the project. The Crocheted Locomotive is among the artist's largest yarn-bombing projects.
