Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwiches

McDonald's Has Begun Testing a New Crispy Chicken Sandwich

In response to the ever-escalating chicken sandwich wars, McDonald's has begun serving up its new Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Deluxe Crispy Chicken Sandwich in select markets.

Much like the viral Popeyes chicken sandwich, McDonald's new Crispy Chicken Sandwich features a fried chicken filet topped with butter and some crinkle-cut pickle slices on a soft potato roll. The Deluxe Crispy Chicken Sandwich features the same chicken, butter, and pickles combination, but with the addition of lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. Both sandwiches are currently in the testing phase at select locations in Knoxville, Tennessee and Houston, Texas now through January 26, 2020.

With the overwhelming response to Popeyes' recent chicken sandwich offering, it makes sense that McDonald's would want to over its own take.
