Monster-Shaped Crayons

These 3D-Printed Crayons for Kids Benefit Abused & Neglected Children

At its simplest, Monster Crayons for kids are 3D-printed drawing tools that take the shape of imaginative creatures. But beyond providing kids with fun tools for unleashing their creativity, the minds behind this project have a greater mission in mind.

The Monster Crayons project comes from Christian McKechnie and Ben Lees, who are members of the advertising team on Act for Kids, an organization that works with young children who have been abused and neglected. After seeing kids in art therapy sessions drawing monster after monster, McKechnie and Lees were inspired to start a project that would spark a positive change.

The pair is now running a crowdfunding campaign, hoping to raise enough money to create sets of monster-shaped crayons for kids that can be sold so that all profits will go back into caring for abused children.
