Craste Uses Crop Residue to Create Eco-Friendly Packaging

Craste creates a new packaging solution that is focused on sustainability above all else. It is also meant to be adopted by the general public. The India-based company creates the material and the company takes into consideration the 500 million tonnes of crop residue that is produced in the country at a yearly occurrence. This contributes to the harmful amount of carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere.

The team thought that they could collect the crop waste to create sustainable packaging materials. These are collected specifically from the farmers and then it is transformed to tree-free pulp through the fiber technology which is currently patent-pending. This process also refuses the use of water and Zero Level Discharge from the unit.
