This epic, triple layered dessert is a cornbread cake topped with fried chicken. It literally takes southern comfort food to a new level.
Based in Los Angeles, Bree's Cakes founder Bree Miller created this experimental and indulgent treat to celebrate Easter. The monstrous confection contains three layers of cornbread cake that are held together with macaroni and cheese and candied yams. The culinary adventure is then iced with mashed potatoes and drizzled with gravy before the fried chicken pieces go on top.
Previously Bree made another comfort-food inspired cake that contained collard greens and cornbread cake with black bean filling and mashed potato frosting. It was also topped with spicy chicken wings. A vegan version of the dessert also exists.
