'Origo' is a cool coffee shop in Romania that serves java during the day and cocktails at night. To bring fluidity to both services, Lama Architectura redesigned the shop with a bar that became the new center of the interior.
The new focal point is highlighted by an installation of 276 hanging white coffee cups that make the space memorable. The interior has a mellow atmosphere and is full of contrasts; it manages a mix of light and dark, urban and natural materials, colors and textures.
Although the substance is energy-boosting, the over-the-bar installation creates the effect of coffee cups that look like they have been suspended in time -- an arresting way to get people to sit down, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.
