Molitalia collaborated with the advertising agency Brandlab to create a packaging design that uses continuous image labels to wrap around the entire package. Molitalia is a food company that uses rectangular boxes for its products. Instead of cutting off the images used on the front of the boxes, Brandlab extended the image to fold over the corners.
Some boxes use clear plastic to act as a window into the package instead of a continuous image. This is used for the boxes of pasta and still folds the plastic window over the corner to show a unique perspective of the contents. In order to present a cohesive brand image, it was important to ensure that the plastic was folder over in the same way as the photographs.
Brandlab also used a bold red color to enhance Molitalia's overall appearance and stand out in the supermarket shelves.
