This contemporary country home is intended to satisfy the needs of a young family with three children. The dwelling is located in Duchess County in Upstate New York and it is in close proximity to an active organic farm.
The arrangement of the house is quite interesting and the form is engaging. Dubbed the 'Link Farm House,' the residence is comprised out of multiple volumes that overlap each other. The eclectic use of construction materials is also a point of interest. US-based studio Slade Architecture adorned the contemporary country home with hits of weathered-steel, a volume with a fully glazed facade that offers breathtaking views of the immediate surroundings, as well as two brick-clad components. The roof, on the other hand, is "blanketed with little plants."
