British startup Smarter -- the company behind the iKettle -- is releasing a Wi-Fi connected coffee machine. The 'Smarter Coffee Machine,' as the device is dubbed, was displayed at this year's CES trade show.
The Wi-Fi capabilities of this "bean-to cup" concept allow it to sync with an accompanying smartphone app, with which users can pre-schedule their morning coffee. The app also gives users the option of brewing a pot on their arrival home and sends out reminders for refills.
Another feature of the Smarter Coffee Machine: It is able to read the sleep-tracking data of complementing fitness trackers, adjusting the strength of the brew to better suit the user's needs. Users also have the option of adjusting their coffee's strength manually.
