Magic History-Inspired Cards

Conjuring Arts Playing Cards are Modeled After Century-Old Decks

These Conjuring Arts Playing Cards are being released by Bill Kalush and the Conjuring Arts Research Center. The Conjuring Arts Research Center is filled with rare books and artifacts that have to do with the history of magic. It also releases playing cards in conjunction with the US Playing Card Co.

The Jolly Roger design of this particular set of Conjuring Arts Playing Cards was inspired by a single playing card that is more than 100 years old. Only 700 of the black-cased decks were made, and they are being given out as gifts to those who buy a 12-pack of another card design. The cards also feature some fun details like a bar code that reads "Your card is the ace of spades" when scanned, and famous magicians as the faces of the deck’s kings.
