CoModule has revealed an incredible smartphone-controlled e-bike prototype at Eurobike in Germany.
This e-bike's embedded electronics include Bluetooth Low Energy, GPS and GSM/GPRS connectivity. The bike itself is based on a Veleon cargo bicycle with a Heinzmann motor and a 250 Watt-hour battery. The inclusion of three wheels allows for greater stability, stable cornering and high-speed tilting.
The bike can be controlled -- be made to move forwards and backwards and stop -- rmotely using an Android app.
The CoModule is truly a feat of innovative engineering and design. While it is a concept creation and is not expected to be a commercial product, it's still a hugely worthwhile project due to the fact that it is helping to stimulate conversation about the practical applications of its technology in various real-world scenarios.
