The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition Uses Color E Ink Technology

Amazon introduced the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition which is a new pen-enabled Kindle device that is pushing boundaries as the first Color E Ink device. This is not a new technology as Amazon has been slowly unveiling the progression over time. The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition adorns a 7-inch E Ink Kaleido screen with the familiar design and it is also joined by a plethora of other Kindle innovations.

This includes the custom-formulated coatings that are between display layers to enhance the usually dull colors of Color E Ink with micro-deflectors to reduce stray light. It also has an oxide backplane for elevated image quality and quick page turning. The device has 32GB of storage integrated and support for wireless charging.
