Xue Li debuted a collection of colorful mens clothing at this year's Central Saint Martins Graduate Fashion Show.
Li took inspiration from the elements of a Miao village in China for his collection, making references to bulls with horned headwear and garments with broad, exaggerated shoulders that lend the illusion of a larger stature. Like the presence of a bull, the fluorescent colors and oversized silhouettes make these garments extremely hard to miss. Li plays with neon colors and graffiti-inspired prints, as if these are tribal looks that have been updated for the digital age.
The striking collection celebrates parallels between messages scrawled on walls like today's street graffiti and ancient paintings on the walls of caves.
