This tropical coffee shop decor, curated by LOT Office for Architecture for boutique roaster Devoción, is bound to capture the attention of avid coffee-drinkers and those who prefer the busy ambiance of cafes. The design practice drew inspiration from nature and its positive effect on the human psyche. Thus, the space breaks down the invasive urban environment of the busy city with "verdant foliage, handmade tiles and wooden decor." The centerpiece of the LOT Office of Architecture's design arrangement is perhaps a raised concrete island that boasts 35 species of plants.
The entirety of the tropically induced coffee shop decor is intended to evoke the spirit and ambiance of Colombia. In addition, the floor-to-ceiling windows allow optimal natural light to come in, which not only lifts the mood of the space but also ensures that the plants receive enough nutrients to survive.
