This Coffee Shop Combines Timber & Concrete for a Raw Interior Design

Owner of Established Coffee Mark Ashbridge worked with Terry Design to create the interior design for this juxtaposed coffee shop. Terry Design used a combination of concrete and wood to create a simple, elegant and coffee-focused shop.

The ultimate goal was to create a simple atmosphere with raw material that focused on the impeccable coffee rather than the location or overbearing design elements. The juxtaposed cafe features light wooden tables and bars that sit atop massive concrete blocks. The chairs and bar stools are also wood with metal legs that are painted with blue or red. The lighting is bold and excessive combined with the large street-viewing windows.

The overall feel of the coffee shop is a Scandinavian vibe with a modernized twist. There is free wireless Internet connections and wall outlets that encourage people to stay and relax.
