These new Häagen-Dazs cocktail-infused ice creams are being launched as a limited-edition treat option for consumers seeking out an alternative way to enjoy the flavor of their favorite libations and recipes. The ice creams come in the form of the Rum Salted Caramel & Biscuit and the Irish Whiskey & Chocolate Waffle, which are made with Jamaican rum staled caramel sauce and Irish Whiskey sauce, respectively. The ice creams provide the perfect alternative to a dessert cocktail that will be arriving at Co-op locations in the UK before a wider launch later this year.
Marketing Manager, Ice Cream at General Mills Kat Jones spoke on the new Häagen-Dazs cocktail-infused ice creams saying, "Research suggests that mid to long term, the ice cream category, currently growing at 10.2%, is set to continue this growth via both elevated indulgence offerings and portion control and our new alcohol-infused innovation within pints and mini cups respond to that. Pints have traditionally been our heartland, but as the leader in mini cups, we are focusing on driving our mini cup distribution as we target the popularity of ‘portion controlled’ ice creams without compromise on taste or ingredients."
