The new Coca-Cola Energy Cherry drink has been announced by the brand in the US as an alternative energy beverage for consumers to choose in favor of other similar products on the market.
The fruity soda flavor will be exclusively available in the US and will come in original as well as a Zero Sugar option, which will help to make it widely applicable to a range of consumers. The drinks all contain 114mg of caffeine per 12 ounce can, which is roughly the equivalent of a cup of drip coffee and are enhanced with B vitamins and guarana extract.
The Coca-Cola Energy Cherry drink was explained in a broader sense by Coca-Cola Trademark Innovation Brand Director Janki Gambhir who said, "As a total beverage company, we’re constantly looking for ways to evolve our portfolio and bring people the drinks they want – in a range of categories and package options. Coca-Cola Energy was developed by listening to people who told us they wanted an energy drink that tastes more like Coca-Cola than a traditional energy drink."
