Designer Aleksandra Gaca joins the ongoing Phillips MyCreation series to launch the new Coastal Breeze collection. It explores the sustainable approach of using recycled fishing nets to 'weave' a range of lighting. Notably, the entire collection is made up of recycled synthetic polymeric fibers and there are four pendent designs that make up the entire capsule.
The lamps are made up of layers that are 3D-printed to create the textures of sand dunes, fish scales, and rippling water. The color palette highlights hues of blue and green, which are drawn from the fishing nets that it is collected from. This also creates a gradient look that forms from green to yellow which can be seen when the light is illuminated.
