The Atom-powered CM1 notebook will be released in August for elementary and junior high school students in Japan. The notebook is a collaborative project between Toshiba and Intel, as well as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications policy for school education.
The CM1 notebook features an Intel 1.66GHz Atom N450 processor, a 160GB HDD and 2GB of memory. Compatible with Windows 7 32-bit Professional edition, the notebook also features a rotating touchscreen display and connections to electronic blackboards and classroom projectors. This project will surely boost IT literacy for students!
