PUMA works in collaboration with Def Jam on a joint iteration of the signature Clyde Court sneaker model. The joined forces come together for the purpose of celebrating the record labels 35th anniversary. This partnership has been ongoing for over a tear and there will be a limited drop this year before extending further into next year. The first of the series is the Clyde Court launch, which honors its rich history.
CEO and chairman of Def Jam Recordings Paul Rosenberg states, "since hip-hop’s early b-boy days, PUMA has been a staple in the culture – bringing freshness to the basketball court and style to the block party. We’re proud to celebrate Def Jam’s 35th anniversary in partnership with PUMA." The model features a knit upper done in maroon with a sock collar and logo details at the heel. There is an embroidery accent that read "1984" at the heel loop, which states the founding year of the label. All of this sits atop a translucent gum outsole.
