Architecture studio Hello Wood has finished a sunken house dubbed the CLT House located in Budapest, Hungary. The defining feature is led by the green roof it is followed by an outdoor living space that overlooks a tranquil pond.
It is dubbed the CLT House as it nods to the structure which is built partially on cross-laminated timber to seamlessly blend in with its surroundings -- to do this, the team digs partially into the sloped site. Hello Wood speaks to Dezeen about the design notion, stating "The core concept for the design was to create a house that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings, becoming a part of the landscape. Its green rooftop, a canvas of nature's artistry, isn't just for show, it's a living, breathing part of the landscape."
