'Closeup,' the oral care and toothpaste brand operating under Unilever, has announced 'Closeup City Hall,' a project that merges romantic love with NFTs and the Web3 space. Closeup City Hall will allow love-stricken couples to solidify their marriage on the Blockchain and in the Metaverse with a marriage certificate that doubles as an NFT. The Closeup City Hall project was launched to provide a marriage option for couples who are often denied state services, such as inter-racial, inter-caste, inter-faith, and same-gender couples.
The couples that participate in the Closeup City Hall project will enter 'Decentraland,' a Metaverse application based on the Blockchain, to engage in virtual wedding celebrations. In order to participate in this project, couples will need to share their love stories on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag '#CloseupCityHallOfLove.' Beginning on March 28th, Closeup will select 10 awe-inspiring stories over time and fully finance the weddings for these couples.
