Twisted Public Seating

The Ribbons Bench was Designed by Cliff Garten Studio

Public benches allow people to take a load off and enjoy the outdoors, but the Ribbons cement benches by Cliff Garten Studios do all that in style. These semi-elaborate seating solutions were designed for the front of a Federal building in San Fracisco, in the United Nations Plaza.

This design was named 'Ribbons' because despite being made from cement, it seems to delicately twist and fold like a silk ribbon. The Ribbons design livens up the courtyard of this Federal building. These concrete benches rise up out of the pavement in numerous spots, and sprout up all around the length of the courtyard's fountain.

Cliff Garten Studio's sleek concrete bench design transforms public seating into a sculptural work of art. These ribbon-style seating solutions are imaginative and cleverly spread out.
