Punctured Fashion Shows

Simons Pokes Holes Through This Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture Show

Raf Simons shows how comfortable he is at the helm with this stunning and intricate Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture collection. The head designer of Dior stated that his inspiration for this collection was lightness and movement. He decided to achieve this with multiple holes and eyelets in the garments.

Everything in this Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture show is just as light as the designer wanted. White fabrics with holes in them float down the catwalk and provide immense breath-ability. Although the makeup on the models was by no means natural looking or displaying the no-makeup-makeup look, their pale faces did feel fresh. A light peach eye shadow and either neutral or red lipstick made for a calming spring look that didn’t distract from the clothing.
