Artist Chris Hill is changing the image of Disney princesses from squeaky clean to sinful in 'The Seven Disney Sins.' 'The Seven Disney Sins' shows the sinful activities of popular Disney princesses like Snow White and Bell.
While I don't agree with all of Chris Hill's re-castings (Snow White eating one apple doesn't sound very gluttonous to me), I do love the way 'The Seven Disney Sins' make you think. Until Chris Hill's illustrations, I never thought of Disney princesses other than the way they were presented to me. Now I can't stop thinking about how into herself Bell actually was or how jealous Tinkerbell was of Wendy.
I could see illustrators like Chris Hill inspiring designers and advertisers to market Disney's princesses in a new way. Maybe it is time to sex up these princesses and start using them to attract an older crowd to the Magic Kingdom.
