Recycled Material-Built Stores

This Chinese Nike Store is Made from Recycled Objects

This Chinese Nike store in Shanghai has a gorgeous interior that you might not expect to be made from items that could easily be found in a recycling bin.

The architects of Miniwiz Sustainable built the store from a myriad of unconventional objects, including water bottles, DVD and CD cases and pop cans. While these objects could have easily been used as decorative installations, the firm made these materials integral to the building's interior. For example, the bottles form wire tension with joints made from the metal of the aluminum cans.

Since the decline of purchases like CDs and DVDs, there are a ton of jewel cases that are not being used to hold music. Miniwiz Sustainable uses these in a creative way, as the platforms to display Nike footwear.
