MOYUPI is a kid-friendly project that helps bring children's drawings to life through the magic of 3D printing. The Kickstarter-funded project promises to encourage creativity by helping children design their own 3D printed toys.
MOYUPI uses digital modeling software to turn a child's drawing into a 3D-printed toy. The company begins by scanning the drawing to ensure that it meets the minimum requirements and measurements. Expert designers then use digital sculpture software to turn the drawing into a 3D model. The model is transferred to a 3D printer that uses durable ABS plastic to construct the toy. Lastly, the toy is smoothed, primed, painted and varnished in order to produce the final product.
The MOYUPI toys can be produced in three different sizes and can even be left without paint so that kids can decorate the toy themselves. With nearly endless creative possibilities, this project helps bring children's drawings to life.
