Architectural firm Arent & Pyke undertook the design of a chic hair salon in Sydney. Dubbed the 'Koda hair salon,' the aesthetic of the space seamlessly blends old and new elements in an eclectic and visually striking manner.
There are a number of interior design elements throughout the chic hair salon that immediately capture attention—from the use of triangular slabs of dusty pink and forest green terrazzo as a nod to mid-century modern aesthetics to the vintage chandelier hanging in the main space.
Arent & Pyke also paid particular attention to the placement of the mirrors, in order to accommodate the view of Koda hair salon's clients. The wide quartzite-rimmed mirrors are angled in front of the curved styling chairs, providing a contrast with the space's tall ceiling.
