This charming boutique hotel is a hub for contemporary art as its latest sculptural installation hotel room proves -- it's also a place you should treat yourself to for a night if you're an art lover.
Located in downtown Louisville, the 21c Museum Hotel is known for its support of the art movement and lending its space out to artists. The latest artistic experience on show in the 90-room charming boutique hotel is created by New York-based artists Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe. The artists designed their site-specific 'Asleep in the Cyclone' sculptural installation -- which is also a hotel room that is fully functional -- so that guests could really feel immersed in it.
Inspired by the creative duo's exploration of the 1960s hippie artists’ community Drop City, the installation features re-purposed barn wood, textiles, sculptures and bespoke furniture and accents.
