Over the last couple of years, the Cerruti 1881 Paris line has been overseen by a number of designers from Narciso Rodriguez to Richard Nicoll, but for the Fall 2014 collection, Aldo Maria Camillo of Valentino menswear was handed the reigns. In order to bring the menswear line back to its former glory and back to the spirit of when the Cerruti family's fabric mill was established in 1881, the styles in this collection took inspiration from the brand's history.
As much as the collection was a reflection of the past, the styles in the menswear collection also looked forward to the future of the fashion brand. One dominant theme throughout the collection were strict militaristic shapes and a dark color scheme.
