A city filled with plenty of dynamic public sculptures, this pixelated ceramic installation also serves as a unique pubic bench. Situated at the Burlington Gardens in London, "Unexpected Hill" is an eye-catching take on pixel art commissioned by the Royal Academy of Arts and Turkishceramics.
The stunning "Unexpected Hill" ceramic installation was designed by SO? Architecture and Ideas of Istanbul and will be on display until September 20, 2015. The pastel blue and white geometric structure has much of its higher surfaces covered with plants, while the lower to the ground forms serve as public seating. Inspired by 2D ceramic patterns, the form is located in the Gardens on the Royal Academy of Arts campus in the heart of London.
