The newly-opened Centre Pompidou-Metz Museum is France's biggest art space and is also "the world-famous center's first foray beyond Paris." Designed by architects Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines, this architecture stands out due to its ultra-funky woven timber roof that resembles a Chinese straw hat.
The 10,700-square-meter Centre Pompidou-Metz Museum can hold multimedia shows, live performances and different installations. The museum will also contain 780 works by the likes of Picasso, Matisse, Miró, Braque, Chagall, Brancusi and Giacometti.
