Korea's Cellure Claims to Improve Skin Elasticity and Cell Regeneration

Korea-based Cellure is offering beauty consumers a line of stem cell skincare products, which are promoted as helping improve skin elasticity and enhance cell growth and regeneration. Containing Lipotein, the active compound in stem cells, Cellure's skincare products offer twice as many cells than other well-known skincare brands such as La Mer and La Prairie, according to Esther Chang, Cellure's COO.

What's more, unlike other beauty brands, Cellure doesn't create the stem cells artificially in a lab; instead, the company harvests stem cells naturally. However, using Cellure's products takes commitment -- and money. According to Racked, you must use each of the brand's six products, which range in price from $38 to $160.

And while there has been a lot of debate over the use of human embryo stem cells in disease treatment and the creation of new organs, you'll be happy to know that Cellure has stressed that its stem cells do not come from animals or human embryos but rather from donated adult tissue.
