On Sunday, May 8th, the Toronto Zoo will be celebrating moms of the human and animal variety. While Mother's Day is traditionally meant for recognizing the work of the hard-working women in our lives, this event provides a fun way to learn more about motherhood within the animal kingdom as well.
The special Mother's Day event is called the 'Amazing Moms Of The Animal Kingdom' and it includes two special sessions. Both sessions will be led by Toronto Zoo expert Maria Franke, who will explain more about motherhood in the animal kingdom and how the zoo prepares for the arrival of new babies. After the educational sessions, moms and their families will be able to visit some of the zoo's newest animal mothers. Light refreshments will also provided and all mother's attending the event will have an opportunity to win special prizes.
By celebrating moms of the human and animal variety, the event serves as a unique Mother's Day event for families.
