Once reserved for hardcore individualists and societal misfits, tattoos and tattoo art are now a huge part of mainstream society. This is due in part to such TV shows as Miami Ink, whose wild success catapulted tattoo art into the realm of the socially acceptable. Thus, it should come as no surprise that Miami is the most inked city in America, with 24 registered tattoo shops in total.
