London will soon open the Silvertown Quays Venture Xtreme - a gigantic sports complex that will feature 30 adventure activities. Phase one of this £1.5 billion facility will include an outdoor wave machine. Current plans have the surfing machine next to the aquarium Biota! and will produce London's largest permanent outside beach. Other activities will include the world's longest artificial cave system (rock and ice climbing), a vertical wind tunnel (skydiving), a mountain bike course and skateboard courses. The Silvertown Quays is set to open in 2011.
