The Casa Do Conto hotel, which translates to ‘House of Tales’ in English, is inspired by two different centuries. The current 21st century influences the hotel’s clean and minimalist design both inside and out, while the ancient 19th century prompted the use of stone-carved ceilings reminiscent of archaic tablets and tomes.
Designed by architecture firm Pedra LíQuida, the Casa Do Conto hotel was rebuilt after a devastating fire ravaged the original building. The project beautifully combines the modern restoration design with the history of the building's earlier existence. Although filled with wood textures and steel patches, the rooms are dominantly created using concrete. From the ceilings to headboards, concrete is everywhere.
Located in the district Cedofeita of Porto, the Casa Do Conto hotel caters to many different individuals.
