Chilean design studio Elemental introduces its new concrete house entitled the Casa del Tec. It is found right outside of Monterrey Mexico and was completed this year. It is highlighted by its cylindrical design the connects public and private spaces. The interior opens the surroundings with the arched windows that are built-in.
Elemental speaks about the design, stating "We have always been struck by the double condition of castles. They are fortresses turned inwards, protecting something inside that we cannot see and simultaneously they are a strong, monumental, abstract presence in the world. [It's] a place that almost silently takes care of private life and at the same time a place that is inevitably a declaration of principles in public life."
