RETRO Clothing has revealed its cartoon-themed high-top sneakers based on Homer Simpson's ASSASSIN sneakers from the popular The Simpsons animated television show. The sneakers were inspired by the Nike Air Trainer SC worn by American baseball player Bo Jackson and were first spotted by Homer on the feet of Ned Flanders in Season 2 of The Simpsons.
The ASSASSIN sneakers have the same design compared to The Simpsons' original design. With perforated white uppers and black velcro straps replacing the lacing system, the sneakers contain a yellow midsole and yellow tongue with RETRO Clothing's logo branding in red. The words "ASSASSIN" is placed on the lateral side above the red soles. The sneakers also have an upside-down Nike logo branding in yellow at the lateral heel counter. Additionally, Homer's name is embroidered on the heel.
