Those who think ATM runs take too much time will celebrate the launch of the Cardless Cash Access app. The new app is being developed by the bank technology company FIS and will allow you to withdraw cash using only your phone and an accompanying QR code. Three banks, two in Illinois and one in Los Angeles, will be the first to offer the app to customers.
The Cardless Cash Access app lets you schedule a cash withdrawal up to 24 hours in advance and said cash withdrawal is said to take only about nine seconds to complete. The app seems ripe for phone thieves to exploit, but fear not, as you still need to enter your normal banking information and your accompanying PIN number in order to schedule a withdrawal.
