A 'Price Scanner' truck was sent out onto the streets with a gigantic screen connected to a camera that would capture the image of a car, identify the make, model and year and give an estimate on price on the spot. As well as providing a quote within seconds, the impressive Price Scanner also provided custom comments to the people it delivered quotes to, such as calling a child caught onscreen "too cute."
Now that visits to car dealerships is on the decline, companies must seek inventive, convenient and quick ways to interact with consumers for automotive purchases and sales.
