Volkswagen is one automotive manufacturer that is now imagining how vehicles of the future might look and function with a new car pod concept that it is calling 'Sedric.'
Sedric (SElf-DRIving Car) is an autonomous vehicle that is designed to function without the intervention of a human driver and as such, puts an emphasis on comfort for the passengers. The shape of Sedric is quite boxy and does away with typical car components, such as the bonnet and shoulders. By sacrificing these parts, the car achieves a roomier design on the inside, while also taking up less space as a whole. In comparison to the cars we are familiar with today, riding with Sedric would be like getting from point A to point B from the comfort of a living room lounge.
Sedric was recently unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
