For its 5 x 5 Film Project, Land Rover challenged five emerging directors to tell a story only through the eyes of a vehicle's car camera and its surround system. The project involved setting up five cameras in various locations within a car's body, so that a story could be told from multiple perspectives. Stories included daring chases and otherworldly missions, truly making it seem as though the car could conquer it all.
To really make the captured stories special, Land Rover arranged for the five stories to be shown at the Sundance Film Festival.
Now that there is such an emphasis for people to document their lives, it's interesting to consider the roles cars could play as the videographers of our lives.
