As of today, those who visit the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will have the chance to treat themselves to a coffee at a unique outdoor cafe bar by the name of 'Cucuyo.'
The stainless steel structure created as part of a collaboration betweeen architecture firm Berenblum Busch Architecture and design firm MX3D heavily relies on the use of 3D printing and boasts a soft, cocoon-shaped design. To assemble the large-scale 700-pound stainless steel 3D-printed structure, MX3D describes that it used an "industrial robot equipped with an advanced welding machine."
The cafe serves as an example of an innovative 3D-printed restaurant, as well as an artful addition to the museum that showcases a beautiful fusion of art, design and technology.
