Tasked with redesigning a home originally built in the 1950s in Naucalpan, Mexico, 'HDA: Hector Del Mar Arquitectura' opted not to tear the structure down but instead to see what was underneath, and House C260 is the result. While the studio certainly made additions to modernize the home, the core structure is the same brick that was put up nearly 70 years ago.
Throughout its years of existence, House C260 was continually covered with layers of various materials according to the stylistic quirks of various eras. HDA opted to reduce the home to its original construction, and that revealed the bright orange brick of the home as it stands today. They further decided to open the home to light and breezes, making it as comfortable as it is striking.
