Butterball has released its latest Hearty Turkey Sausage, a range of bun-length turkey sausage links. The turkey sausage links are made in a butcher style with 70 percent less fat than pork and beef smoked sausages. The Hearty Turkey Sausage comes in two flavors: Old World Smoked and Polish Style.
Butterball's new product arrives pre-cooked and is gluten-free. It takes a few minutes to prepare on the grill, in the skillet, or the microwave. Additionally, it is made in 12-ounce units with four links in one package.
Butterball's leader of new consumer solutions Michelle Lieszkovszky spoke about the Hearty Turkey Sausage, saying: "Consumers expect healthy and delicious tasting turkey products from Butterball. They'll crave the robust flavor and coarse texture of our Hearty Turkey Sausage. It's everything that you'd expect from a traditional pork sausage but with less fat."
