Miniature Undergarment Sculptures

The Bra Series by Holly Laws Explores Fragments of Bodies

The Bra Series by Holly Laws, an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Arkansas, centers around miniature sculptures of such female undergarments. Incredibly detailed despite their diminutive size, they could easily have been real bras that shrunk significantly in the drying machine. That, or fairies really do exist. Nevertheless, as adorable as these intimate sculptures are, they embody more than references to female forms and sensuality.

With two new additions to the Bra Series by Holly Laws, which were released just in time to celebrate Valentine's Day, it is easy to envision different stories behind each creation. Laws reveals, "My early work focuses on miniature fragments of the human form evoking partial stories of lives forgotten."
