The photo series succinctly titled Box by 354 Photographers, a Brussels-based studio run by Maxime Delvaux and Kevin Laloux, is not made for everyone. Dark and depressing, it is especially not made with the cheerfulness of the holiday season in mind. In fact, there happens to be a dead Santa (by the hand's of a little boy) involved in one of the images.
What will draw people to Box by 354 Photographers is the unusual use of cardboard. In one image, the walls of the rooms have been constructed out of cardboard while an entire building is made out of the material in another. The cardboard gives the series a diorama-like quality that stylizes each image.
